New Procedure for fixing Knocking Suspension

Just had my car in at Town & County Landrover Aberdeen and they have managed to resolve the Knocking suspension problem on my car Thumbs Up Interestingly enough Bryan, (the service Manager, who is a great guy and doesn't give you any BullS Censored t) told me that whilst my car was in, Landrover had updated the technical bulletin for dealers and that they now not only change the bushes etc but also have to fit clamps which help hold everything in position. Have to say it seems to have done the trick - My RRS feels like a new car - the difference is incredible - They also managed to fix my locking Sat-Nav Problem at the same time by performing a software update Mr. Green All in All I'm a happy chappy Mr. Green Thumbs Up 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Just had all this carried out on my 09 RRSport TDV6 HSE and she is as quiet as a baby (which is how it was when we collected it brand new). 8,500 miles on the clock. Now heading for the Lake District tomrrow for 7 days to give it some hammer! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Cool Cool Smoke me a kipper: I'll be back for breakfast.

RRS HSE TDV6 gone after 15 months since new - will not be missed I'm afraid - bit of a gremlin in there somewhere - too many issues. Replaced with FFRR Vogue TDV8 - very nice - not as sporty (of course) but absolute luxury.

Wife picked up the RRS today after the 5th visit and it looks like we're good to go; read about bulletin 204v3 and gave the wife the details to ask a few loaded questions when she picked it up. Fair play without prompt the dealership said they had completed the recommendations as per the latest TB and mentioned some of the updates around clamps etc. Fingers crossed let's see how we go Java Black, 20" rims, privacy glass, side steps, chrome mirrors, body coloured grill/vent surrounds/door handles, Brembo, towbar, fridge

Without wanting to poo poo this latest fix, i'm afraid, for me at least, it's a failure Big Cry Big Cry

All of this has already been done on my vehicle and more. I have already had the pre-07 ARC unit replaced with a MY08 onwards ARC unit - BTW - you have to jump through hoops for this.

Have just had the replacement clamps which did nothing whatsoever, numerous bush replacements etc etc..........the rest is history.......I never thought I would say it but, LR you have me beat. Congrats, after 2.5 years a victorious moment for you, well done, bravo Sad Sad

I have now resigned myself to living with the horrendous and somewhat embarrassing noise (for LR) until such time as I replace the vehicle. Shame.....a real real shame Twisted Evil Sad

To everyone else, I wish you the best of luck Thumbs Up

On a positive note the rest of the car is a master stroke and for that you are to be congratulated Thumbs Up ......for once, just once, it would be nice to see what is a great English company goto 110% and resolve the issue rather than having some half baked attempt at fixing it which is what the past 2.5 F Censored g years have all unfotunately been about Rolling Eyes

.........and relax Whistle Whistle L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Just had my first set of brake pads replaced at 44k km and the garage has booked the car in to get this TSB carried out on it on 16th June, the only noise I was hearing was the bushes squeaking when I go slowly over bumps (yeah I know, keep the right foot planted and you won't hear it Laughing ) Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh
