TDV8 Off-Road Ready Swing-away

All - we've just finished our wheel carrier for Jeep Commander, proving we can sort out that shaped OE bumper, as well as make the popular D3 rear carrier (which is much simpler)...

But - in spite of lots of interest from people about the RRS wheel carrier, we still don't have a vehicle to design and prototype on in melbourne.

Any takers - pls let me know.

(and yes, I know - I probably shouldn't reference the Jeep on this site - what a dog ugly car!!!)

This email provided as a service to RRS owners...

Pls email me at sarch@4x4intelligence.com.au if interested.

I'm based in Melbourne and have an 08 RRS... Without thinking about it more not sure yet if I would want a wheel carrier, although i am about to start going offroad so I know that i don't want my spare underneath for that. But depending on what you need from a 'guinea pig' I may (or may not) be willing to help?!

PM me if it's easier..

If anyone on the site has bad experiences from allowing their car to be used as a prototype then please let me know before I make a final decision!

Different scenario but I think MDP used his RRS as a guinea pig to allow JE to test their new (at the time) exhaust? Confused

Some months later... we are about to do a measure up on this Saturday to go into production for the RRS swing away wheel carrier. It will look similar to this on the Disco3, obviously, allowing for the different bumper profile.

We have a guinea pig for the first one, but need to get a couple more orders to make the first production run viable.

Pls contact me asap at sarch@4x4intelligence.com.au or call +61 419 378 981 asap.

cheers,

Simon

Can you give any price guidance to this?

Also any diagrams of how it will fit? Also I assume you will be drilling the bumper so to reverse the process later would require a new bumper?

email me your details and I can send a brochure which shows some of the work required/installation. we have one person in Perth who is about to go to his second Disco 3, and he's just leaving the wheel carrier on the first vehicle...
