Hi Zilch

I am well clear of them but its very distressing to see so many people have lost their lives. I hope they can contain them soon. Then there is the animals and the property destruction, its a very sad scene right now.

Thanks for your thoughts my friend.

Terrible news so many losses.

In the footage I saw today it seemed odd that houses were destroyed but trees around them had escaped it?

Keep safe over there...

Forest Hill is in the suburbs, not country Victoria, and fortunately the fire has not come to the outer suburbs of Melbourne which are a lot more heavily populated that the areas affected so far.

Absolute disaster over there. It's hot enough here but another 10 degrees C on top of this must be horrendous together with the fires!!!

The bad news continues and you have NZ's sympathy. Appeals have been lauinched here to help out those affected but $$$ will never make up for the huge human and material losses that have been sustained

Hope none of you get involved SDV6 (14.5) Corris Grey NZ Spec + door mouldings, mud flaps and tow bar

Glad to hear you are away from the danger zone.

They interviewed a guy on the TV last night who managed to escape, a tree came down just behind him, he had a java black Sport, which looked pretty battered..Not sure if he was known to anyone on here, i cannot remember the channel it was on.. Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

I think what staggers me the most apart from all the damage and the deaths so far is that some of these fires may have been started deliberately.

I hope it all comes under control soon and that if anyone did start any of these fires they throw them on the bloody fire and remove them from the gene pool.

Steve
