Land Rover Off-road Experience - Well an hour actually

After 3 years of ownership nearly and not one invite to a Land Rover Experience day, i suddenly get 2 invites in one day to test the Range Rover Sport MY09 on a specially laid out course north of Sydney... for a whole hour Laughing nothing to do with my MY06 coming up to its 3rd birthday in March i suppose Whistle

Anyone else around Sydney/NSW had the calling to the Riverside Oaks event being run over 3 Saturdays in November Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

I'm jealous of the Land Rover Experience and Exhilaration days our fellow Pommie forum members get for free....

The best I got offered was a LR 4wd course and BBQ - that i had to pay for and take my own car to use. When I told them I'd already been offroading I was told I'd probably be bored but that it was a good BBQ!!!

Now if they were to take me on an experience or exhiloration day down here in melbourne, maybe, only maybe, they'd convince me to drop my wallet on a new RRS (TDV8 please...) before the three year cycle comes up... Whistle

Will be keen to know what the format of the hour they give you is Zilch.

Same here, will give an SP and take the camera along.

If i had purchased from Trivett, they run regular off-road tag alongs into the blue mountains for people who purchase their vehicles, D3 and Sport owners alike. A few friends/Colleagues in Sydney get regular invites.

When i purchased from Alto you got nothing, they now throw a free annual membership to the Range Rover club of NSW who organise free off-road training day (nice slopey shoulder approach), but i missed out due to the fact i purchased 2 years to early Rolling Eyes

If i am not in Singers next year, then a TDv8 is on the cards, but from Trivett me thinks Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Hi All,
Did anyone make this? I haven't been given any precise directions and I am meant to be going tomorrow. Do you gate to it by the Riverside Oaklands Golf Course? Is it worth the 1h 20min trip?
thanks,
Anthony TDV6, MYO7 Java with Ivory leather, 19 inch wheels

Hi Zilch,
It was actually a TDV6 and it was good fun seeing what it could do. I had no idea it had the clearance and capability it did. What's even more amazing is the FL2 goes through the same course. The most fun was a flat out run on a grass course around some witches hats as a test of the DSC. The trick is to not take off the throttle and let the DSC back it of for you. My son found it pretty exciting in the back and wanted me to do it again. Overall very instructional, especially on how all the terrain settings effect the throttle response. I would be interested as to what the more experienced 4wd'ers think of the course.
cheers,
