Just to let you all know I've emailed my dealer (Royal Ascot Garage) wanting to know exactly what they know about the TDV8 e.g. when its arriving in the RRS?; Why is there discrepancies between dealer information etc.

I will post my reply here for you all to read. Smile

If I don't get a reply I'll walk the whole 100m to the dealer and wait for one Banging Head

I have just emailed LR direct to answer the question/speculation & to stop pussyfooting around - wonder what reply I'll get Rolling Eyes

Cashe,

Dynamic pack is very good as I live in the land of roundabouts. Makes all the difference and I think they should all have it as standard. On the way back from Hereford yesterday it felt as sure footed on the country roads as my previous sports suspension fitted Merc that I had driven to Hereford in. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Scotland 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Just this minute come of the phone with the dealer. He swears blind that they have had no information on the RRS getting the TDV8 engine. If the RRS does get it it will be end of 2007. Royal Ascot Garage has received no information at all apart from RR getting it this year. No "official" information has been sent to any LR dealer in the country aparantly! People have put deposits down for the TDV8 "just incase" the RRS gets it this year.

Doesn't really help any more Confused On Order: RRS TDV6 HSE, Java Black/Black, Lined Oak, Dynamic Pack, Premium ICE, DVD, bluetooth PTI,Tracker

Sounded like a "there, there, run along now" standard line to me... I suppose until it's "officially" announced, the party line will be to keep the cakehole shut. Rolling Eyes

England 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Rimini Red
TDV8

My dealer called me this morning and said that they are about to start taking deposits on the TDV8 RRS for Dec/Jan delivery, so I have paid £500 and am apparently first on the list. Although considering the omissions on VA’s poverty spec HSE I might wait about 3 months from launch so that Landrover are fully practised in bolting all of the parts on. (No offence TB)

Off topic
Also going through unopened junk post this morning I found that I received a special edition RRS sketch book back in February with a note saying that they were being sent to a selection of the very first owners. Seeing as I didn't take delivery until 1st September I am a bit surprised that I got one.

Has anybody else had one?

By the way, if you haven’t you've missed nothing. 11 XFR

08 RRS TDV8 HSE with the good bits taken off the first RRS

05 RR Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red (Rimini Brown at events), Stormer wheels (original 19's for events), PTI, towpack. TV tuner (now driven by an employee)

1923 Ford Model T (serious ground clearance)

FFRR TDV8 Vogue my07 (wife won't let me use it in case I go to Salisbury with VA in it)

plus some other bits n' pieces
