Similar process took place with her wedding dress if I remember, I didn't even realise I had to pay for her frigging wedding dress!!! Cost me a lot of money, getting married.... and has continued to cost me money ever since!! I wonder what's more economically viable? Continuing to be married to the wife, or getting a divorce and paying maintenance etc? Laughing

Women Bow down Thud

Anyway back on topic - FUEL - We have been talking about Diesel here and no mention of petrol & winter consumption? Mine has def got worse, but I know it is down to the cold starts/engine & all the extra burden put on the engine from heating an empty barn.

Interesting though is the choice of fuel. I used to religously put BP ultimate in my S4 , but hav'nt once done this with my RRS...... I suppose its because LR stipulate 95RON is OK/recommended!

SO - as a little exercise I shall fill up on my next visit to the pumps with BP Ultimate & monitor my fuel consumption thereafter.

What do you wreckon?????? They claim an extra 35 mile or so from a tank of fuel. we'll see................................. Rolling Eyes

Depends on the size of the tanks a bit doesn't - lordy if you only had a 1gal tank that would be an amzing 100% improvement in the fuel consumption...
But if you have a 100l tank like the bigg RR, then an extra 35 miles is a drop in the ocean! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I don't know, it's still a 35% increase, a 100l fuel tank doesn't get you very far in an S/C Wink Wink

BP Ultimate returns a range on my D3 of around 560 to 580 miles. With standard Esso or BP I get around 520 - 540.

Not sure the extra pence per litre is worth it during the winter. In the summer for sure as the FBH is not running.

This is long run range not tootling around town. The TDV6 is designed to return good MPG at a constant speed / rev range. Once out of town and at a steady cruise you will see your range go up as the odo goes up... odd but for a while the range increases the further you go Smile

The FBH will kill your MPG too in the cold months we've been having... I usually average 31-32 MPG plus on a long run down to London and back - warmer weather. Now its around 27-28 and sometimes 25-26 if traffic bad.

This has been debated endlessly over on disco3.

Anyway... you guys can afford though Wink
