Radar Detector

Although I know radar detectors will soon be banned has anyone had any problems using them with the RRS windscreen? Which one should I buy? 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Hi

I have a Road Agel 2 and it works a treat and will still be legal if they do ban Detectors as it uses GPS

Road Angel is IMO the best,
Although some people like NeilR have them working well the heated screen on the high spec sports can cause problems with tracking sattelites and road angel do produce a discreet exterior mount ariel. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

I also have a Road Angel 2 and it worked fine in my M5. There was only trouble mentioned on BMW forums where cars were fitted with the special UV protective windscreens, as they blocked the GPS transmission.

It's a great bit of kit, but something we are looking at buying for the wife is a Tom Tom 500 as it is a full Sat nav unit, bluetooth for phone (works very well I have been told by a colleague) and you can upload updates to the softweare to include speed camera locations.

It might be difficult to ban those units. L319 D4 HSE
