NSW snowy mountains

I am heading for the anual family ski trip at the end of July and with the current lack of snow i think we will have a few extra days to go exploring.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any good day trips, with a bit of offraod to fill in some time and give the rangie a bit of a work out RRS TDV8 Buckingham Blue

I think in July a lot of the higher tracks are closed to protect them whilst wet or they are snowed in. I did a 4 day tag-along at Easter and it was pretty cold at night then as well!

Great Divide Trips and NRMA both do a "winter" weekend in the snow which I believe goes on lower tracks that are not restricted or shut.

Hey FL,

I think that with the dump of snow that we had here last week and what is due in this week that you will be able to find something to ski on. If you want to give the rangie a workout, bring a recovery kit along. If it snows hard enough while you are down here, you can help out by pulling Landcruisers back onto the road Very Happy Just a white TDV8 with a few extras

Hey Zilch,

It has been a good season down here, with lots of that crappy white stuff. My rangie has been covered plenty of times now even on our place which is only at 1,200 meters.

We did a trip up over the Snowy Mountains highway a few weeks back towards Tumut, I have to admit that it was pretty spectacular in above the snow-line. You should be able to get some pics up here.

I have to go and track Pete down Very Happy Just a white TDV8 with a few extras

Hey Zilch,

Let me know when you get back from Singers, and we will see what we can set up. Not too late in the season though as I need to be in HK for a few weeks. Just a white TDV8 with a few extras
