Firefox vs Safari

I've just had an invite from Apple to update my iTunes and quicktime to the latest versions, on the same window there was an invite to download the Safari webbrowser.......................... I use Firefox and have no problems with it yet Safari claims to be faster and better than all the other browsers - anybody using Safari care to comment on the claims? A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

Tata TDv8 HSE - Stornoway/ebony and straight grain walnut with towpack, Tasmods and an HST grille. Coming soon LEDs in the headlights
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road

Just noticed my mums PC runs windows with Mozilla Firefox (Assuming this is what you are talking about).

Seems no better or worse than IE used at home.

Have noticed that although this is 8Mb broadband it does sometimes cut in and out unlike my 'Budget broadband' back home which runs unaffected 99.9% of the time....

Seems maybe you do pays yor money... 06 RRS TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony, PTI, Running Boards, Privacy, S/C Grille/Vents, Stormers, Tasmods, Black Badge Soon...

If it's a heavily contended exchange, service can be a bit choppy with ADSL broadband. When we lived in London it used to pop in and out, but have been out of London for 7 years now and not had a single problem since.

Thanks guys - will not bother to download it then and will stay with Mozilla Firefox. Interesting that VA doesn't rate it because I thought Safari was the browser developed for Mac computers and IIRC you prefer MACs to PC's VA.. A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

Jay/Shmoogle, it's supposed to be 8Mb (Seeing about 6.75Mb) through a standard BT line, using TalkTalk home package. 06 RRS TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony, PTI, Running Boards, Privacy, S/C Grille/Vents, Stormers, Tasmods, Black Badge Soon...

Yeah, you'll never see all the 8MB regardless.... 6.75 is pretty good if you're getting that on a speed test Thumbs Up
