United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

One thing for sure I can get better mpg out of the RRS by not using the ACC than when I do - it was much better in the TDv6 as the ACC can be very vicious with appliying the brakes if somebody overtakes then tries to take the bonnet off my car by coming back into my lane too soon.............................. ACC sudden applies lots of braking while it thinks about how fast the car in front is now doing. On a relatively traffic free motorway it is brilliant though,
I just wish that LR would allow you to have a choice of conventional cruise control or ACC. I'm also not going to try the ecodriving malarky on a 500 mile trip - I'll do my best to sit at 69mph and there aren't too many trucks doing that sort of speed to slipstream them! If I can average 30mpg (quite feasable in the TDv8 on a long trip) on the trip south next Friday then I'll get to Southampton on less than a tankful of the blackstuff. I'm also not going to sacrifice my comfort by switching off the aircon, might make the concession of switching it to the "econ" setting though, but I doubt it makes much difference A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

Tata TDv8 HSE - Stornoway/ebony and straight grain walnut with towpack, Tasmods and an HST grille. Coming soon LEDs in the headlights
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road
