Very true.... I even saw a Phantom on the side of the road a couple of weeks back with it's bonnet up. Looks like a little van had appeared where a couple of unfortunate RR employees were being publically flayed in front of the owner in recompense Laughing

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

S you were very lucky to sight one on the roadside with it's bonnet opened..................... the local LR Assist man here used to work for RR/Bentley and when I mentioned that I had seen a Rolls in dristress at the side of the road with it's bonnet open he told me that the techies concerned were likely to get a regal bollocking because RR's instructions used to be that any broken car should be recovered on a covered trailer to the nearest dealership for repairing, it was never to seen that a Roller might break down. How standards have dropped since RR became part of BMW Rolling with laughter

Next we'll see silver Phantoms with stripy orange livery with "Customer Care" stencilled on the sides cruising the highways and byways looking out for RR's in distress at the roadside. A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

Tata TDv8 HSE - Stornoway/ebony and straight grain walnut with towpack, Tasmods and an HST grille. Coming soon LEDs in the headlights
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road

Back on Topic! I think the Q7 proves the point that LR ned to make the D3 more luxurious with more power. It is far bigger inside than the Q7 but a lot smaller on the outside - ok you'll say it looks like a van, but looks are hardly the Q7's fortune.

As a died in the wool LR person though I just don't get having all the disadvantages of having a 4x4 from a dynamics point of view if the car isn't capable. To me it is like building a DB9 and putting a 1.0 litre engine in it Confused DS3 TDV6 HSE

Is this a bit like that program 'Wife swap' except in this case 'Life swap'?
