I've delayed this as long as possible in the hope that I'd be able to sort something out to make this trip, but unfortunately I'm not going to manage it. I could up untill about 2 weeks ago, and then something came up that I can't get out of.
I'm really annoyed as I was totally looking forward to it, and I've spent a bit on the RRS too. Got new quad exhaust tips, black side repeaters, supercharged grill, new wheels & tyres, black wheel centres and was planning a few more subtle bits & bobs before the event.
I've also booked and paid for accomodation for the Saturday night. This is non-refundable, so if someone wants to make use of it, then pm me. (I'm in Canada at present and the hotel paperwork is in UK, but I can send the details out when I get back home on Aug 7th. A small contribution to the RRSport site and a double room for the night is yours).
My diary was clear for this weekend, but then my youngest son announced he was playing rugby against the Ospreys - Shane Williams testimonial year - on Saturday 17th. This is a once in a lifetime, really big deal for him and I just cannot miss it.
So sorry to have let the side down, but hopefully someone else on the reserve list can use my booked slot.
I'm really dissapointed, as I usually miss out on events due to being abroad with w**k but was home for this one. Hopefully will make the next one!
Cheers guys - I know it will be a memorable weekend. Just sick I can't be there.
