B&O isn't as good as their price dicates. We recently used some Canton CD3500 Wireless speakers in place of the B&O Beolab 8000's and they blow the B&O's away imho - that combined with the fact the B&O units are actually wireless and require a link lead between them meant the Canton's were more flexible too.

B&O do look very nice, however imho they are way way overpriced for the performance

just read my post again and to clarify, both the Canton and B&O speakers are wireless, however the B&O needs a link between the two speakers, whereas the Canton's dont and therefore positioning is more flexible

Next time you are in town, stop in at Clef Hi Fi in Clarendon St South Melbourne and speak to Chris. Clef is at the intersection of Dow St and Clarendon St right side as you are heading into town. He is an installer and is great to talk to about this stuff. He will give you his time and advice and doesn't pressure you to buy anything. The downstairs listening room is also a good way to while away an hour or two......

Thanks - about 5min drive from my office, so will try and get in there... 2008 TDV6 WHITE/EBONY

I'd go with hard wiring M&K speakers.........very good Thumbs Up Only cos that was what I had installed but really like them.

Someone mentioned is it worth having a 7.1 amp. I think so.......I have a 5.1 set up and use the two spare channels to bi-amp my left and right floor standers. Thumbs Up MY08 RRS TDV8 HSE, Stornoway Grey, Ebony and Zabrano, sunroof, hybrid tv, premium ICE, rear E diff, privacy glass, side steps, mud flaps, S/Grey mirror covers, Venture shield, tasmods, smoked indicators, Larini sports exhaust, etc, etc.

Kaine, would the Yamaha sound be as good as a all in one type set up of a similar price. Wifey hates wires and clutter Laughing So it might be the answer! DS3 TDV6 HSE
