I used PP and came off worst Twisted Evil

Remember the story with my S4 Cabriolet. only weeks old & when I returned it had been badly damaged. I know how as well having been shown where the car was stored. They have a multi storey type of area where the cars are parked in sequence [ date order ] one behind the other and obviously mine was bumper to bumper - literally, seeing the damage.

I went used Gatwick in May & I pre booked my car into Parking Express long term - and chose my own spot !

I wouldnt use any one to valet park/store my cars again Evil or Very Mad

Good and bad sides for everything, and there is a large trust element with valet parking wherever it may be. I suppose you have just have to toss up that (minimal) risk and the inconvenience of having to park some distance away and drag your family and luggage etc along with you before you even get back to the terminal. Let's not forget someone can ding your car anywhere at anytime, but I can understand how it's pi**ed you off MDP Very Happy

Being in the environment, I get to hear about a lot of things and in terms of parking, PP come out well. That said so do Parking Express, but they don't offer a valet service of course Confused Choice is yours VA at the end of the day, isn't it...

From the South Terminal it was a doddle using Parking Express. ... pre booked - staight in... followed signs to available area being used ..... found a nice corner slot to park the skoda and hopped straight onto a courtessy bus [ kids & 83 yr old farther in law to boot ]..... drop off at terminal main doors / departures = easy peasy. Same experience on return.

In fact theres nothing wrong with valet parking if you use someone elses car Wink

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

I used Parking Express at Gatwick too. Lugging your family and luggage on and off the free bus service was a bit novel. It was the first time I'd been on a bus for years. Thumbs Up Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Rimini Red

..the Smarticus family stay in the "sunny" UK all summer long. No airport nightmares, jippy tummies or expensive parking nonesense. Been going to The Lake District most holidays for the last 15 years and love it more and more each time we go. Swimming in the rivers and mountain tarns, eating in some fab local restaurants, drinking real ale in friendly pubs, mountain biking on forests and hills, kayaking on exciting torrents, ghyll scrambling in hidden gems, exploring green lanes in various Landies and all of this just 90 minutes drive from home.

The last time we tried a family holiday overseas we needed a holiday afterwards to get over the stress of the travelling..... Shocked RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

We haven't been overseas on holiday for a few years now either... but I would in a flash if we didn't have to traipse the 2 Shmoogle Jrs around with us. When they're older won't be a problem, but I'm not brave enough to haul a 4yr old and an 18 month old around the world on holiday Confused
