Just had mine in for the front end knock and the stealer has replaced the front end anti-roll bar bushes Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter even though I told them that replacing things like that wont help.

Trouble is I dont have the RRS back as they were also going to replace the transmission box but decided to replace the oil in the box instead Evil or Very Mad as LR said that would cure the fault Yawn Yawn

The stealer said that the box was better but still had a noise so I refused to accept the vehicle back from them.

Aint LR a complete bunch of f Censored wits Question

Has anything been decided about the trip to LR HQ Question Gas, grass or ass - nobody rides for free!!

We are all fully aware that it won't just "go away"........it takes time and resource to organise these things..........feel free to take the lead if you like Exclamation My Gladiators:

OK. An update on this subject, at least from my experience. I too had the knocking...bad. Dealer tested and suggested ball joints were the issue. Ball joints replaced and now the "knocking" is gone. There is still a small "knocking like" sound that I can barely hear. Dealer advised that dry ball joints are the problem and they will be updated soon, new models and us getting them fixed, with "wet" ball joints. I guess this means "greasable". Either way the dealer advised I'd probably need new ball joints every 6 months regardless of how I drive the car.

I really love this car, in fact I'd say it is the best car I've ever owned on a number of fronts, but, it sure does have some design issues. I know it weighs 2.7 tonne and that is partially to blame for terrible tyre wear and possibly suspension issues, like wearing ball joints, but, these things are designed by engineers...right, not hairdressers. For all these things to become apparent after introduction suggests very poor pre-release testing. Or, maybe they thought all us suckers with a few $$ would just pay up and put up. On top of all this I'm told I'll have to pay for a wheel alignment every 3 months to even get 30000km out of a set of tyres!!

I have no issue with things failing under warranty and getting repaired, FREE, under warranty. My issue is that I will have to pay to get these things fixed when the warranty runs out, through no fault of mine, but, rather, bad design. 2006 Black/Alpaca, Hi Ice, Dynamic Pack, 19" wheels, Clear Pack...
