venilation and aircon...

It seems a stupid question, but I'm buggered if I can work-it-out...

Can I (and of so how can I) have fresh air into the car with the fan operating but with the aircon turned-off?

I only seem to be able to get fresh air in if I have the aircon. turned on (or on economy)

If I undertsnad correctly you need to press the "Econ" button to switch off the air conditioning pump and then set the temp dials to the minimum temp and have the fan on and fresh air will come in!?! 2008 TDV6 WHITE/EBONY
