Option 2 is to take the wheels off and gut the wire to the sensors. Option 1 is however your best bet!

Apart from the 2 options mentioned there's not alot you can do as I believe tht removal of the fuse affects other important things. RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE Zambezi silver,Alpaca.

Just use the electronic parking brake to stop! Just kidding. The sensors are probably designed to be annoying on "purpose" - when activated it means your pads are worn down to almost nothing - less than 5% left I think - and you need new ones, pronto. But I also had to put up with that damn chime every time I touched the brakes not long ago in L.A. stop-and-go traffic, so I know what you mean. Very Happy I wish they had designed the sensors to activate some sort of steady "Brakes Fault" red light in the instrument cluster - which would extinguish only after the sensors were replaced with new ones, since once triggered they are no good anyway - instead of the "Ding! Fault - Oh, Never mind - Ding! Fault - Oops, My mistake - Ding! Fault" routine...

From memory ( i have just done mine) once on the edge of wearing and when the sensor is worn (shorts) the intermittent ding stops as the warning is permanent...

So brake harder quick for a while then the frequent dings will stop - but of course dont forget to do them otherwise the annoying squeal follows along with a higher bill !!!

I had about 3mm on the front left and around 5 mm on the rear when the first sensor shorted out....

Its is proper annoying. I replaced my Porsche Cayman with this RRS and so far am loving it, but this sensor crap is really annoying me.
