S - your right, however the guys who developed phpbb3 require modifications to the mysql config and they just say the server host needs to change it at their end - once changed, phpbb3 works perfectly

We're back across the pond... But the owner of rr.net may be forced to look into a different host, or at least a new hosting plan, as the fix is only temporary. Keep that in mind if you ever go w/ v.3, Martin.
