I know there was a problem with the struts in the early days but i think it was to do with the bolts not the gas RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

Yes, used to be a problem years ago... there was an issue with the fixtures, but also with the gas if I remember. Shortly after, they shipped a newer part and that was the end of it. |

I've also had problems in cold weather, the struts seem to get very stiff and the tailgate needs to be pushed up, rather than just lifting itself. I suspect the struts are not gass filled but are liquid filled and the liquid becomes more viscous in the cold. Anyone had same or can confirm? Thinking about it I should have not called them gas struts - I now recall seeing an oily liquid near the seal - stealer has them now and in for fitting Monday... |
