I know there was a problem with the struts in the early days but i think it was to do with the bolts not the gas RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

Yes, used to be a problem years ago... there was an issue with the fixtures, but also with the gas if I remember. Shortly after, they shipped a newer part and that was the end of it.

I've also had problems in cold weather, the struts seem to get very stiff and the tailgate needs to be pushed up, rather than just lifting itself. I suspect the struts are not gass filled but are liquid filled and the liquid becomes more viscous in the cold. Anyone had same or can confirm? Range Rover Sport - 2.7 TDV6 HSE - Java Black - Privacy Glass - Dealer Superchipped - a set of swanky TASMOD sill plates & Body Colour Matched SC Grill & Side Vents. Thinking about it I should have not called them gas struts - I now recall seeing an oily liquid near the seal - stealer has them now and in for fitting Monday...

On the odd days it is chilly in Houston my struts get a bit stiff..... Whistle

But its hot here most of the time so the problem of raising is no issue.... Thumbs Up Brit across the Pond Wink
