My RRS will be 3 years old at the the end of May 2008. I have received an invite to extend my LR assistance for 1 year for £190 - for this I get exactly what I already have. Do yo think it's worth it or would it be better to get a polict with the likes of RAC, AA etc.? The only real benefit seems to be the replacement car. RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE Zambezi silver,Alpaca.

How much is the equivalent AA/RAC cover going to cost you? £190 for a year's mfr warranty seems quite good value though... at least you don't need to worry about finding out too late about a gap in the AA/RAC policy. |

Normally LRA and the warranty are linked... extended LR warranty also includes LRA coverage as far as I'm aware. Certainly does over here in the BMW world |

This is simply for LR assistance. The extended warranty is a lot more but I havn't been contacted regarding this yet. If you extend your warranty you get Assist with it. RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE Zambezi silver,Alpaca.

The RRS extended warranty is in the region of £1400 - I have already decided not to take the LR option on this.

Looks like family cover from the RAC is anything up to £203! It also looks like RAC covers the person not the car... |

Yeah, I'd go for the LR option too... response has always been pretty good when I used them. Haven't used the RAC or AA for years now, but they were always the expensive option back when I was looking. I used to use Green Flag instead... just as good although they didn't do replacement vehicles either. Didn't need one though.. |
