I would like to know what the forum members think of the tyres .( in my case Continental Cross Contact 19'')? I'm not too sure about them but I would like other opinions. See my message about drifting, in Europe Land Rover doesn`t deliver the RRS with the terrible Continental tyres anymore.

Very nice, Biggles - any pics of the upgraded wheels in place? I remember you posting the picture of them still in their wrappers...

Can anyone recommend any other Tyres apart from 19" Continental Cross Contact Tyres .Idon't do that much off-roading. The Continentals are too fragile. Diamaris or Wranglers are these better? My RRS came equiped with the Conti Cross Contact UHP, which in my opinion is a great fair weather high performance tire. That said, it is NOT an all season tire and offers very little traction in "off road" or foul weather situations. I subsequently received from my dealer an additional set of tires, Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow, which I installed for winter. They are incredible and a must for where we live, the Sierras located in Northern California/Nevada. |

I did look at Gdyr and a number of other brands as well. I made my decision based on the consumer feedback at the Tire Rack web site. The Pirelli Scorpian's performance had them all beat for snow and ice. The one criteria that I put a premium on is ice, we get quite a bit of "black ice" in the Sierra's.

My old TDV6 has the same tires and a lot of problems, Landrover in The Netherlands changed most of the tires for michelin
