Endjin, I am a regular visitor to China with work, tell me about the counterfeits - you want an i-Phone? they are down to $75 a piece in Yantian and Shekou - does everything that the real one does except all the instructions are in Chinese characters............................. I can get any Nokia phone for about $50 too. Movies on DvD come in at $1 each unless you want the National Geographic boxed series or the Discovery Channel series they run at $50 for a box of 50 dvds each with 3-4 programmes on them.
My best buy so far was a Columbia River Titanium Jacket with removable fleece and waterproof trousers - factory second for $30 five years ago and the anornak is just starting to wear out, price here in the UK for the same jacket is £300 and the trousers another £120........................ haven't seen too many alloy wheels coming down to the dockside yet though  A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.
