I wonder how often SPECS cameras are being used to issue NIPs? There's been that top section of the M3/M25 in the roadworks which has been under a SPECS-enforced 50mph limit now for about a year and initially everyone seemed to obey the limit and keep their speed down... but lately the traffic seems to be flowing a lot faster even though the same limit is in place.

Like with the VSLs on the M25 it relies on everyone sticking to it... once somebody speeds up or changes lane unexpectedly, it all goes to Censored

Whenever I have driven the M6/M42/M40 round Birmingham over the last 3 years or so it has been notcable how much more freely the traffic moves now that everybody is observing the speed limits for fear of getting another load of points - the other thing you see less of now is also tailgating on those sections A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

TDv8 HSE - Stornoway Grey with ebony and straight grain walnut wood-a-like interior with towpack, Tasmods. The best car I have ever owned
Now departed - Giverny Green TDv6SE with Aspen and Parchment interior - nearly the best car I have ever owned
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road
