Coz it the owner's pride and joy, even if it isn't a supercar!
I remember a couple or so years ago a discussion about people's car cleaning habits on here and we all thought RRUK was way OTT.
As a result I spent £125 on a Zymol kit (or something with a similarly silly sounding name), it is still sitting unused in the garage waiting for a day when my enthusiasm to polish a car gets above zero and the weather is right to actually do it - no rain, no sun, no wind and there are no birds to shit on the finished job! Instead I spend £5 a week at the local pressure washer centre where they do a good hotwash with loads of Autogylm soap, a cold rinse and then a hand dryoff. A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

TDv8 HSE - Stornoway Grey with ebony and straight grain walnut wood-a-like interior with towpack, Tasmods. The best car I have ever owned
Now departed - Giverny Green TDv6SE with Aspen and Parchment interior - nearly the best car I have ever owned
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road

I have a chap who comes to my house every other week and cleans both our cars for £20 each - far easier. RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE Zambezi silver,Alpaca.

£40 to wash 2 cars, you are being robbed VA......................... costs me £5 in Stirling and it doesn't matter how dirty the Defender is after an offroad session it still only coasts £5! A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

Yes but you live in the cash strapped north where a pint still costs 50p. Us in the South pay for things and subsidise the rest of the UK. RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE Zambezi silver,Alpaca.

You would know he was taking the p*ss if he had bought an X5 or a Cayenne then NP A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

I have to admit I have my Rangie stripped in the garage getting detailed and colour coded The machine work is up to about 12 hours and thats only the bonnet, front and rear bumpers and part of the boot!!! I have detailed cars where we have spent £250 on and then sold them making up to an extra £1000 on the selling price so it does pay! Also personally people are dumb enough to get the car Diamond brite or superguard protected at the dealer for between £300-£350 not knowing the stuff only costs £10 and it HAS to be topped up every month not the 3 years they say!!!

Get the Range etc detailed properly at the start and then it is an easy matter of topping it up every month or so and IT IS money well spent!

each to their own I would say but why spend £50-£80K on a Range Rover or car then not look after it?
