500 euro! Shocked That's about £350 in real money. How many does he do a day?

His garage is very small, room for maybe two cars at most and it takes a full day to do one. I think he makes his loot on repeat business as he askes you to come back on a monthly basis for a full valet. Although the wax is not included in the return valet, he gives it another lick anyway. it works out about E3.50, the price of a mediocre Baguette. Thumbs Up

a proffessional detailer would normally do one a day, if they are busy

I read one report on a chap spending 7 days on a Ferrari,

I wouldn't like to have that invoice at the end of it Shocked

Good money, but I'm sure you need to have OCD to do the job day in day out

Nice to hear you rate his work as he is very good and enthuiastic at what he does Yes for a proper detail it takes alot of skill and time and the products used are quite expensive. I have my sport stripped at the moment and have spent 4 hours on the bonnet alone!!! about 40hours in total will be neededto get il looking just right!

Guy from here, his girlfrined has a RRS, he quoted me £750 for my Maserati - and needs the car for 3 days - and his tub, apparently, costs £7000! He said I should get Maserati to give him the car before even the dealer preps the car - he prefers the cars direct from the factory.

As much as I love my wheels to be in top condition, would not pay that kind of money - thats a mortgage payment for a clean car!

I'm ashamed to say I didn't dismiss the idea straight away - I thought about - but ashamed to say I even thought about it - it's crazy money, and money that I could not justify - my wife knows I spend about £200 a month cleaning both my cars - but I think the line stops there.

I got a tin of wax for £15.00 which is very well rated on the Detail Website, Collinite 476s, couple of coats of that will see my Freelander2 right for a few months

Used it on the wifes car this week and gave it a lovely shine.

I think you'll pay alot of the money to get the mirror finish without all the swirl marks that dealers leave behind and the wrong washing method.

£750 is a lot of money to us humble FL2 drivers, ask for a quote for a wax costing less than £7k theres plenty on the market.

There is a new Freel2 member that runs a valeting business might be worth a PM to ValetecDavid see what idea of a price he comes back with Thumbs Up
