TBH Jay, I need a new iPod and a phone to call and text from. I don't think CYTAVODA will support all the functions on the phone anyway. 06 RRS TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony, PTI, Running Boards, Privacy, S/C Grille/Vents, Stormers, Tasmods, Black Badge Soon...

16Gb minimum mate.

Like when I bought PS3, Mrs ST said 'What do you need the more expensive one for?'

It's the whole 'Boys 'n' their toys' thing.

Got to have the newest/highest spec/best brand/most expensive etc. etc.

Like when we hire cars back in the UK, i'm always like 'Let's upgrade to a Merc/BMW/Audi' and my good lady is like 'Why? it's a waste of money. We have a nice car at home...blah blah blah'

God bless her Wink 06 RRS TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony, PTI, Running Boards, Privacy, S/C Grille/Vents, Stormers, Tasmods, Black Badge Soon...

2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

hi,

i just got a iPhone from the usa. it cost £210, no contract, and a friend unlocked it for me. i can do pretty much everything with it that my brother-in-law can do with his o2 iPhone. the only difference is i don't get EDGE on t-mobile, but from what i here the coverage on o2 isn't fantastic anyway. Also i can't get the visual voicemail (if that's what it's called) but i can use voicemail as with any other regular phone.

Most of the non-phone / iPod features are only usable over wi-fi, but all in all I'm pretty happy with the iPhone....Of course i'll buy the 3G version when it comes out but until then i still have something to play with.

I'm on software release 1.1.4 and have a '55 plate RRS. The iPhone pairs up about 90% of the time, but no phonebook sync over bluetooth.

As for the price drop...I don't think the Apple stores have dropped the price yet, but i've read that you can walk into an Apple Store or a CPW store and buy the iPhone and as long as you never activate it through iTunes you don't have to start the o2 contract. If you buy it from an o2 store then they make you sign up to the contract there and then.

DISCLAIMER: that's what i've "read" so please don't blame me if you try it and end up with a contract Shocked

I hope the info above helps someone.
