Can't decide which is worse......

Those bl Censored dy "pseudo police" Traffic Officers Evil or Very Mad who patrol the M18 with their look-a-like police cars and people refusing to go past them at more than 65mph even though their a bunch of impotent t Censored ts OR the packs of cyclists (usually around Bakewell) who think it's perfectly OK to cyle along in a group taking up an entire carriageway while doing 20 mph who then have the nerve to get upset if you should happen to clip them with a wing mirror as you pass them before leaving a cloud of black exhaust as the V6 hits the limiter...... Twisted Evil

And relax........ _______________________________

Jonty can the traffic officers not pull you over at all??? I mentioned to Tim on here that on M6 Toll road cops are not allowed to pull you for pseeding unless you're driving in bad conditions or lots of traffic - i often hit 140/150 on there...... 2007 RRS TDV6 HSE JAVA/EBONY SIDE STEPS, REAR GUARDS. 22'' STORMER WHEELS. No, my understanding is that they can't pull you up as they do not have any police powers. They've certainly never pulled me up and I make a point of not slowing down for them Whistle

They are there to help the Rozzers at accidents and breakdowns etc. The worst that can happen is that you get a fixed penalty fine for ignoring an instruction from a traffic officer.

There was an example a few weeks ago where traffic officers were telling people to leave a motorway becuase of an accident. One guy just drove straight through them. He got a fixed penalty which I assume was issued by the police.

I think the service they offer is fine...it's the fact they're dressed up as coppers that gets my goat Evil or Very Mad _______________________________

All the Highways agency guys are employed to do is block the road in their cars when there are no accidents and to block them again when there really is one, they are not traffic police A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.
