Germany 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
Jaguar XF premium Lux

Went out in the new XF today, this is one of those cars that looks even better in the metal. The interior is beautiful, I love the way when you press the start button the interior comes alive, the round gear selector raises from the console, the vents turn to allow the climate to start working and you get an amazing blue light around the console and all the insrument panels, very 007! interior lights that sense your hand and turn on! I was in the prem Lux model so some nice features that seem to be controled via the touch screen like heated seats etc etc. I like the ipod interface, it shows all album artwork and can be controlled via steering wheel or touchscreen. Driving position and seats are very good, important for me as i'm a very tall 5,6! Don't like the Jagvoice system, too limited as what it can do. Liked the rear camera system. Only had a brief drive as the snow is comming down quite hard here today, but I'm going to drive it again next week, but saying that it handled it perfectly. Speed Limits! not where I live!

Did have: RRS TDV8 2008.5MY
Did have: Q7 3.0TDi S-Line/Tech/Comms pack
Did Have: Disco3 HSE

Was looking at it on Jag's web site and it does look good. I'm even tempted to chop in the MG for one. Wonder if I would be happy moving down from a 4.6 V8 to a 4.2 supecharged V8? Wink Laughing
I'm off down to Inverness tomorrow and was planning to look in at McRae & Dick's Jaguar showroom, part of the same company I got the RRS from. Sons of dogs come eat flesh

So do I Thumbs Up

But I'm really afraid to drive the XF, as I wouldn't be responsible for what I might do & I've only just got my new RRS Shocked

I just love the look of the XF Bow down

Haven't posted here for a while now, but do look in regularly of course, thinking of swapping in my 06 TDV6 for the new XF, but not sure I want to see my RRSport go as I still love driving it so much, will have a test drive sometime soon to see if it is as good as it looks. Wink RRSPORT TDV6 HSE
Buckingham Blue/Ivory, Privacy Glass, Tasmods Sills, Supercharged Black Badges all round, Grille & Vents, plus RRSport Sticker & Brolly of course.

Got the brochure and price list when i signed for the RRS last week. Hopefully take it for a drive in the next week or so (mum needs an upgrade). We've had an S type in the family before and was a really nice cruiser. I love the jaguar badge on the back of the XF Very Happy.

I was disappointed that the XF lost a lot in the translatin from concept to production but it is growing on me.

Looks like Ford bailed out at the wrong time as it is winning awards/group tests all over the place and may well prove to be the car that pushes Jag back into the black.

The XK is stunning car too.

All they need to do now is replace the outdated XJ and Jag may well return to the glory days of its past

I personally hope they do really well! Thumbs Up 06 RRS TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony, PTI, Running Boards, Privacy, S/C Grille/Vents, Stormers, Tasmods, Black Badge Soon...

Disco3 just got the 2nd place in the Autocar Driver Power 2008 survey, Freelander2 was 19th................... last year the previous versions were so close to the bottom there wasn't much further down to go something like 92nd and 96th out of 100! A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

How old are all of you lot??? You really need to take a good hard look guys....Jags.....mmm ok, the new XK I can understand (just about) but an XF....I don't care how nice the inside is - the front looks awful....and I still think a BMW 530D and a 535D licks the car in terms of being one of the best diesel cars around. Ok, go for the V8, and watch yourselves lose more money than Northern Rock...

But hey.....what do I know....the X Type and S Type were class leaders!

I'd rather drive a Lexus than a Jag - and thats an awful thought..... 2007 RRS TDV6 HSE JAVA/EBONY SIDE STEPS, REAR GUARDS. 22'' STORMER WHEELS. FULL COLOUR CODE. SMOKED SIDE LIGHTS
