Went out in the new XF today, this is one of those cars that looks even better in the metal. The interior is beautiful, I love the way when you press the start button the interior comes alive, the round gear selector raises from the console, the vents turn to allow the climate to start working and you get an amazing blue light around the console and all the insrument panels, very 007! interior lights that sense your hand and turn on! I was in the prem Lux model so some nice features that seem to be controled via the touch screen like heated seats etc etc. I like the ipod interface, it shows all album artwork and can be controlled via steering wheel or touchscreen. Driving position and seats are very good, important for me as i'm a very tall 5,6! Don't like the Jagvoice system, too limited as what it can do. Liked the rear camera system. Only had a brief drive as the snow is comming down quite hard here today, but I'm going to drive it again next week, but saying that it handled it perfectly. Speed Limits! not where I live!

Was looking at it on Jag's web site and it does look good. I'm even tempted to chop in the MG for one. Wonder if I would be happy moving down from a 4.6 V8 to a 4.2 supecharged V8? |

No it replaces the S Type A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

Got the brochure and price list when i signed for the RRS last week. Hopefully take it for a drive in the next week or so (mum needs an upgrade). We've had an S type in the family before and was a really nice cruiser. I love the jaguar badge on the back of the XF |

I was disappointed that the XF lost a lot in the translatin from concept to production but it is growing on me.

Disco3 just got the 2nd place in the Autocar Driver Power 2008 survey, Freelander2 was 19th................... last year the previous versions were so close to the bottom there wasn't much further down to go something like 92nd and 96th out of 100! A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

How old are all of you lot??? You really need to take a good hard look guys....Jags.....mmm ok, the new XK I can understand (just about) but an XF....I don't care how nice the inside is - the front looks awful....and I still think a BMW 530D and a 535D licks the car in terms of being one of the best diesel cars around. Ok, go for the V8, and watch yourselves lose more money than Northern Rock...
