Credit where it's due.....LR Dealer customer service

Just taken a call from my local stealer to inform me that there's a software update for my 05 RRS just been released by LR and would I like to book in to have it applied.....

Not sure if this is normal behaviour for all LR stealers but never happened before when I had Audi's or BMW.

Thought it would be nice to recognise when customer service is delieverd..... Thumbs Up

Got the car 6th June at 09:30 last year (sad that I remember I know Smile )

Had only done 15K when I got it......35K later it's the first time I've been called to say there's an update...

Sorry, don't know what the update is for...was too surprised at the call to ask Shocked

Steve...How could you be so sceptical Shocked ? Smile Smile

I haven't been back to the dealer I bought it from since the day I picked it up.....

The call was from a local dealer to work and to be honest they've had enough warranty work to do on it with out needing to try and sell me another...

Latest little gem was a "Crash box" behind rear bumper that needs replacing...just couldn't put my finger on where the f Censored g rattle was coming from... Current: I can't say...Oh the Shame!

They rang me about the VEP back in 2006, but yeah normally these upgrades are customer-request only. In fairness, it would be a nightmare for service depts to phone every owner in their database every time an update came out. Different thing with recalls obviously, but for regular updates.... Confused

Jonty, I've moved this into dealer feedback, but you haven't mentioned who this is? Not much point praising them if we don't know who they are Very Happy
