How long before you kerbed your alloys?

Picked my RRS up last Tues 11th and the wheels were as new, not a single scratch. Popped home from work today and the wife says she kerbed an alloy! ARRGGHHHH! 6 days.....

by kerbed i mean when the wheel makes contact with a kerb and you hear the kind of grinding/scraping sound that sends shivers up your spine, making you wince and screaming, noooo! doesnt have to have chunks of alloy missing but a battle scar will be apparent.
reading some of your incidents, i should think myself lucky, the alloy is definately scratched but it could be a lot worse........ still bloody annoyed by it though!

Not on the RRS yet, touch wood. Let the SWMBO drive the MG to Tesco in Sunbury on Thames and some prat in a merc pulled out onto the wrong side of the road and SWMBO mounted the kerb to avoid it so one badly kerbed NS front alloy Big Cry

Edit: Driving across a hillside did scratch the 20" wheels on the RRS that was only 4 hours from new Crying or Very sad Sons of dogs come eat flesh

Mine was delivered on the Friday and I reversed it into a concrete pillar in a car park in Guildford on the Saturday. Well done me! The alloys lasted a while until they got kerbed though Mad

Not got the RRS yet but on the current BMW i went all the way to scotland to get new alloys. Shattered when i finally arrived back in london. Woke up a few hours later, and was watching the telly. Mum then goes 'you know those new alloys you brought - ones already scratched alot'. No guesses as to what she did while i was sleeping Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry .

Never kerbed the RRS, however got my M3 in Nov 07, lasted until i was being a cheap skate and went to save 3 cents per $ on the exchange rate recently, and popped into solihull town centre, and managed to kerb the left front wheel up the kerb entering a car park! great.. worth the saving, don't you think! Past: Bmw M3 E92 Coupe 57, 335d Coupe 56, Audi RS4 06, RR Sport TD HSE 05,
