Scotland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

When you disconnect the battery for the installation (as per the instructions) are there an issues when you reconnect it again afterwards? i.e. anything need reset etc?

Do I really need to disconnect the battery? are there any snippets of advice from those who have already fitted their own I should know about?

I've got the kit in the box and though it better to seek advice before breaking anything!

Thanks

R
