United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost
Land Rover Insurance

Is it my imagination or has Land Rover insurance suddenly become very expensive?

I've just received my annual renewal quote and it has taken quite a hike this year. A quick search on the internet and I have found other quotes from different insurance companies upto 10% cheaper.

Is it worth changing? Or should I stick with what I know is an excellent policy for my needs and just play with the voluntary excess figures to bring my quote down to a reasonable level. After all I don't plan on having any accidents in the next twelve months, so the voluntary excess figure should stay safe in my bank account. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

I think insurance premiums in general seem to be on the increase.

The poxymobile is up fior renewal in the next week or so and my current insurer quoted me stupid, let alone happy. So much so in fact that I can get identical cover elsewhere for almost half the price Shocked

npinks have you got a contact number for Adrian Flux ?

It would be good to compare like for like policies. Not many insurance companies cover off road use. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

I got my quote from LRI for the RRS today............................... either they rate me as a very good client or they discount careful drivers over 50, but my premium for the TDv8 is lower than last year's TDv6 premium .................... maybe I shouldn't be posting this because they will go and check their sums and send me an extortionate re-quote. £426 for the next year is a pretty good quote to me! Last year the Tdv6 cost me something like £436 and there was an extra premium to pay when I bought the TDv8!
I wonder if your postcodes have become high risk areas in the last 12 months......................... A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

TDv8 HSE - Stornoway Grey with ebony and straight grain walnut wood-a-like interior with towpack, Tasmods. The best car I have ever owned
Now departed - Giverny Green TDv6SE with Aspen and Parchment interior - nearly the best car I have ever owned
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road

Think your premium is now loaded if you live in or within a known area for flooding. Speed Limits! not where I live!

Could the raise be due to LRI including marine use as well in their policies now for some post codes, so they can cover all eventualities.
