cooler modification

Has anyone tried adding an aftermarket cooler like this one on ebay:link
Is it difficult -any idea why pti is required?

note sure why PTI is required (I'm guessing its something to do with the hinged arm rest fitment?)

personally I'm not sure its worth it - even at £40 - unless you need to keep 1 can of coke and a Mars bar cool - otherwise its pretty useless imo

United States 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Chawton White

There are two different configurations of that cooler box with different part #s, one for cars fitted with PTI and one for those without. The auction must be for the former, but if you were to buy it from a dealer you would have to specify whether you have PTI or not. I have no idea why, different wiring maybe?
