Ireland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
Exhaust Tips install issues

Fitted the tips from Autochrome

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Range-Rover-Sport-Ch...dZViewItem

Only things is the tips touch the swinging weights at the rear and make a nasty vibration noise at tickover ( as well as rubbing).

Any ideas from people who have fitted these I was thinking of getting some stainless steel cable ties and trying to pull th exhaust slightly to remove the contact. RRS HSE TDV8 Java black/Ebony interior, mud flaps,20" stormers, towing, roofrack, sunroof, cooler V8 Tasmods Sills, black badges, carstyling java black vents

/Jaymann
i think you are refering the the mounting of the silencer unit of the exhaust but
boatmad is talking about the rattling noise after installing the exhaust.

/Boatmad
i suggest you look where the tip is rubbing against and try to put something to
work as (heat resistant) cushion of some sort.
or, try to relocate the tips so that the rubbing won't occur.
nothing like sorting out a problem with the beloved ride.
good luck. MY08 TDV8 HSE

Jayman thanks I'll have a look as what I'm trying to do is to pull the whole back exhaust about 4-6mm outboard to move the exhaust tips off the weights. RRS HSE TDV8 Java black/Ebony interior, mud flaps,20" stormers, towing, roofrack, sunroof, cooler V8 Tasmods Sills, black badges, carstyling java black vents
