Belgium

I just looked at the Belgian price listm for a TDV6 HSE the costs are as follows:-

basic price - 62600 euro
options-
metallic paint - 800 euro
parking distance control (front) - 365 euro
electric folding mirrors - 260 euro
full size reserve wheel - 230 euro
cold climate pack - 1040 euro

Grand total - 65,295 euro = 44,460 GBP

For the same spec in the UK the landrover configurator price = 44,500 GBP so not such a big difference. You also have to look at the additional taxes that Belgians pay for `first registration` and on their yearly vehicle taxes which are a lot higher than the UK. Finally when you consider the differences in net salaries between the UK and Belgium then the RRS looks a LOT more expensive to the average person

Jayman if you can find them 5K GBP cheaper please tell me where in Belgium you went as I would be very interested

Any problems with any cars in the past warranty wise when trouble has arisen?

Also when buying from an import company, how do you handle your p'exs, trade them in ok, or sell private?

There is a real fear of touching private imports i have found, but it doesn't seem to be as much of a problem nowadays.

I would be interested to know this too.
Now that i have a private guy sorting my finance out for me mostly, i can get away with ordering cars away from main dealers, as you said all Euro imports come with 24 months warranty anyway, so you are covered if something goes wrong.. the only thing which annoys me with other brokers is they ask for a big deposit on order, i.e. spoke to one guy for the RS4, he couldn't get it me any earlier, couldn't absolutely guarantee a delivery time, and wanted 10% deposit on order or something stupid which
made me run for the main dealer as fast as i could, plus no pex etc,

I mostly sell my cars on to the best paying dealer, or private anyway, but its good having the safety net there that the dealer will take it off my hands if i can't secure a better price elsewhere and suddenly the new motor has arrived.
