No, the UK cars don't get fire extinguishers. Any chance of posting or email me a photo showing how and where it is mounted? Matt

I have just got back from doing a full day LRE and the V8 sport I was in had the fire extinguisher securely fitted to the front ( underside ) of the passenger seat - clearly visible but didnt impede on your leg room etc

Matt,

I have taken four shots and put them in my gallery.....quality is not the best as they were with my phone. When we got the car I thought it would be in the way where it is placed, however 3500 kms later both the wife and I have had no issues with the placement.

I don't know whether this was a factory fit or whether the dealer fitted it afterwards, I guess local laws may dictate that it is obligatory but I'm not that hot on Luxembourg Law !

The extinguisher is Land Rover branded so I guess both it and the bracket should be available from your dealer. cheers

I thought the same but I guess you can get used to most things. I do afterall spend the majority of my time in the driving seat. The wife confidence of auto gear boxes and the size of the car is not yet up to speed.

However, as with every other car I fully expect to be demoted to weekend use as soon as this level of confidence has risen. cheers

This has spurred me on to fit the one I have had for ages. Finally a place that is easy to mount it rather than random drilling into the floor panels.

Nice one RRUK..
Yep, thats exactly what mine looks like too!
Can't even see the plastic ties on mine behind the extinguisher once its mounted.
Hopefully none of us will ever need to use them though, bit of a bugger to get a hand on it if you're in the driving seat, but still satisfies the rule of having the fire extinguisher on board.

So guys, what First aid kits do we all have, and anywhere we can shuv them too? Past: Bmw M3 Coupe 57, 335d Coupe 56, Audi RS4 06, RR Sport TD HSE 05,

I still have a BMW 5 series kit which mounted on the front of the passenger seat but of course, it will not fit the RRS. All the contents are good though.

If you measure the size first, you should be able to get a first aid kit that fits into the square cut out of the tool tray.

If you can't find a proper first aid kit, you can always make up your own in a tupperware box. After all half the stuff supplied in the average first aid kit is of no use to man nor beast anyway.

If you ask at your local chemist they should be able to advise on the most suitable contents for a basic first aid kit.
