land rover off road experience day

Has anyone done the experience day from land rover??

After buying the new RRS i was given a voucher by the dealers and have booked it for peckforton in cheshire in two weeks.

I am looking forward to it but just wondered if anyone had done it and could give any pointers or advice on what to expect

Thanks in advance Thumbs Up 16 model year yulong white autobiography

They are brilliant if you haven't been offroad driving before! You MUST pay the extra and upgrade to the full day though if you only have the 1/2day course, it's well worth it and you get to get their RRSport covered in dirt! Also if you can do it mid-week then you will have their entire fleet and tracks all to yourself and the instructor.
HEALTH WARNING: LRE days can be addictive!

Basic format is a bit of time in the classroom showing you diferent 4x4 systems and some safety stuff, then you go out to the car and get the guided tour of the controls and then they show you what the traction aids do on a gentle field type course before you go off into some woodlands or onto local hills that have been set-up to show off Land Rover products at their best without causing them any damage. You are going at a good time of the year too as the big pools will be full so you will get lots of wading and mudlarking! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

LRE are a great introduction to off roading. As Tim says you must upgrade to the full day as that is when the fun happens. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

They are good fun, but make sure you get a proper LRE and not one of these new-fangled mixtures of on & offroad driving that are used as a sales exercise. Definitely upgrade to the full day... the afternoon is leagues ahead of the morning in terms of what you can do! Thumbs Up

I've just checked on the LR website and Peckforton is a proper LRE Centre.
Your dealer must like you to have handed one out because they are no longer paid for by LR, the dealer pays for them out of his profits. The vouchers are quite difficult to obtain these days - usually you get one before you have bought the car to sway your decision, especially if you are also looking at the Toureg or one of the less able SUV's 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
