Good work Bill - anyone know if it is much / any different for the non brembo brakes? (55 HSE). I take it they all wear fairly evenly (front to rear) and it makes sense to replace F & R together?

Many thanks...

Easy job to do, anyone can do it.

Bought Mintex pads for £30 plus VAT from Bearmach, could have had the Genuine LR part for £110. Prices for Brembo pads.

Only if you have a trolley jack to get the car up and wheels off......I wouldn't trust the OEM jack that comes with the car. Next time will buy those pads and get my local ATS to fit them for £30 - as opposed to £110 plus labour at LR...

Well, these images are good enough for the ones who really don’t know how to change their vehicle’s brake pads. I think, one must know these things because these are the basics and are quite helpful in the long run.

remember if your brake fluid has been topped up at anytime, when you push the pads back in the level in the reservoir will rise. So take the cap off before you push the pistons back and put a cloth around the reservoir to soak up any fluid (it will take the paint off if you leak it over the car.

Good stuff, - Jaymann...

I just put it in to a dealers, did last week as suspension was faulty, front light was out and brakes were failing.

Jaymann - thought I was Comedian of the Year. How did you get the title...?
