Found this LRO Big Test video on You Tube today. What surprised me was the ease with which the Freelander kept up with the rest of the cars, although the terrain was nothing too extreme it is still impressive to see how well it stood up to the test.

Most of the magazines seem to prefer using the cars with the kit it would drive out of the showroom with, which I suspect is why the new Defender has been getting a right royal panning in some 4x4 mags for not hacking it offroad like it used to - LR appear to be fitting their press fleet with Mud and Snow tyres and not AT's or even MT's like all the Jap makes of utility type 4x4's. Result - the Defender is coming last in all the tests for want of a decent set of off road biased tyres.............................. shooting oneself in the foot springs to mind  2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
