Vibrations on accelerator pedal / turbo loader noise

Maybe I am a bit too "sensitiv" and started to see ghosts, but I have the impression
that during the last 2 months the vibrations on accelerator pedal got stronger and stronger.
Simultanously to that, the noise of the turbo loader got louder and sharper. I went to dealer and he said that
he canīt hear any unknown sound and he feels nothing unusual in the vibrations. I also tested it with another RRS V6
and indeed, the vibrations and sound of the loader are existing, altough less remarkable. Nevertheless I am pretty sure that in the beginning both, the noise and the vibrations were much less or even not there at all.
So my question to forum: "am I now holier than the pope" and hear things which are actually normal and just due to the fact that I am focusing on it, they appear stronger ? Is that normal for such a car to have a slightly but noticeably shaking pedal ? That the turbo loader gets louder during the time ? Do I have to live with it or
is that indeed unusal?

Thanks in advanced and regards from Berlin.

PS. it is a RRS V6, bought 3months ago

Hmm... I'm sure you're not imagining things Smile

Do you have another dealer that you can get a second opinion from?

thank you..at least I donīt feel insane anymore Smile ..unfortunately there are not many dealers
in Berlin. RR are not so common here. I am always suprised everytime I am in London
how many RR are on the roads. From Heathrow to the city I counted 31. Must be the RR heaven.
Nevertheless I will try to find another dealer to I can hear a different opinion.

Hi Metroberlin,
Does your vibration appear between 1500 and 2000 rpm? Is it more noticable at around 40kmh and when turning? I have a similar vibration but can feel it through the steering as well which seems to be quite common. A steering rack replacement is meant to fix it but I wonder sometimes wether it is poor isolation of the engine transmitting the vibrations. I am taking mine in for service soon and I will let you know what happens.
cheers,
Anthony

hi redrover,

no, itīs "just" at the pedal not in the steering wheel. but yes, it is much stronger around 30-70kmh.
In the last week it got less again and is now nearly completely gone. i still have no idea
what it was, neither the garage. maybe after 7000km the engine is retracted...strange, but who knows.

Hi Satman, & Welcome to the Forum. Thumbs Up

Sounds Like your dealer gave you great service! We always like to name & shame the bad dealers, so why don't you let us know the dealer that gave you such good service and give them credit where it's due. Thumbs Up 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black
