I have spoken to Mike @ the carstylingstudio in Nuneaton a few times now re various things - clear side repeaters , colour coding etc. He has emailed me with a special offer/price to colour code the side vents. I am still not sure on this? Basically 2 options. Either all black and just the fins left silver ,or, only the outer edge/surround in black & the mesh grill and fins left in silver brightwork. What do you all think ?

He has offered me a special price only because I live/work locally to them. |

Any decent bodyshop should be able to colour-code up components in the correct Land Rover colours |

Definitely the first one... second one looks overcooked. |

I usually back completely away from external mods on cars as to me it simply detracts from the look. In this case though option 1 does what I think the factory should have done!!!!! Looks excellent - will be looking at getting this done to mine when it arrives Currently: Carbon Black 535d

Option 1 looks much better....but then I think the standard non-painted vents look okay. This is something I wont be doing. But then if I didn't have bonatti grey, then I think I might be painting the plastics and would definately upgraded to the supercharged plastics. However, I think the bonatti grey looks better with the standard grey plastics. Matt

The trouble with Zambezi Silver is they don't stand out as much, so I question getting the side vents coded, the brunel styling they come in actually makes them stand out more than if they were body coloured I think. Silver bodywork needs the contrast to make the Supercharged silver grille area become more apparent.

Take your point Adam, but on the darker colours esp. they look better in the matching body colour. But then your wing mirrors look good colour coded. I think each LR body colour lends itself to different "mods" that will suit that particular RRS. |
