Elusive Garage Door Opener

Don't know whether anyone else has this problem but my garage door opener is never where I left it and usually in the front passenger footwell and out of reach.

Solved the problem!.. With the aid of a new "push on"/"push off" switch, a soldering iron and a couple of bits of wire.

Permanently depressed original "Go" switch in controller. Wired new switch into controller using about 3" of wire. Very carefully cut a hole in the panel that covers the front underside of the driver's seat. (Panel comes off simply by pulling straight outward). Fixed switch in hole and placed rest of controller behind panel.

Now my door opener is always where I think it is. Simply reach down with my left hand and press button. Take care though that you can reach the panel, especially if you're a dwarf 'cos you don't want to be head butting the steering wheel in the process (I'm 6"3" so no worries).

Just thought this might be a useful fix if anyone was having the same problem. Didn't like to put the switch anywhere else more visible in case my hole cutting wasn't up to scratch and also the underseat space provided easy access and space to store the controller 'body'
