Louder for HST?

Hello guys i ordered an 2008 RRS and im already planning out mods. i got a few questions however, I looked at all the range rover sport exhaust vids on youtube and they seem to be no louder than stock, a few guys told me this is due to the resonator. the big metal box like thing under the chassis. now if i get an qualified muffler shop to chop this off for me. will my rrs sound like an ghetto mobile? i saw an friends ml63 without resonators. it sounded great. not much drone, i looked at Overfinch full exhaust system but they wont be compatible with the HST body kit i ordered on ebay. can i just chop off its tips , and replace them with the HST tips so theyre compatible?

Or am i better off chopping off the resonator?
