Greece 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Bonatti Grey
RR vs RRS

I ve noticed on the LR website that the RR with the V8 S/C engine has a 0-60 performance of 7.1 secs while the RRS carrying the same engine 7.2 secs. How can that be given that the RRS has better aerodynamics and I assume lower weight? RRS S/C,Bonatti Grey,Ebony Interior,Lined Oak Finish, Rear Lock Dif, DVD,Sunroof,ACC

The RRS weighs more than the RR.

One tenth of a second difference? Pretty much rounds off to zero. '06 RRS Giverny/Alpaca

RR is lighter with a few more BHP and anyway it is in LR's interest to have the best performance on their flagship - 0.1 sec it has to be the same in real life!

Agree but still since they made a car with the word sport in its name I guess performance should be its best asset.Anyway... Rolling Eyes RRS S/C,Bonatti Grey,Ebony Interior,Lined Oak Finish, Rear Lock Dif, DVD,Sunroof,ACC

Really, no vehicle that is as big and weighs as much as the RRS should be associated with the term "Sport." Cool As a long time sports car driver, I'm never going to fool myself that it's a sports car.

I'm comfortable knowing the RRS is a modified Disco 3 with Range Rover styling.

from what i heard, the difference is solely based on the exhaust system. they said since it the RR is longer it has more 'exit breathing' room.
but, i too assume it is just a marketing ploy for its flagship to have best performance.

Count yourself lucky you don't have a SC RR as the exhausts looks SO silly, I saw another one the other day, they look like two little pipes taken from something like a Morris Minor! L319 D4 HSE
