United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Giverney Green
Just Taken Delivery

Hi Folks
Took delivery a couple of days ago after a wait of 6 months.....It's only a baby 2.7 HSE but still a performer. It's Giverny Green with Alpaca interior. This combination is a real head turner already. Too many black ones on the road for my liking. Its got all the usual bits included, but I ordered, sun roof, dark windows, side steps and tow bar/bike carrier.

It's a little different to the Z4 I have been driving and still have, hoping for a little sun to come our way in the UK for a few more top down days before I sell it on.

Why did I choose this car....well I am retiring and want more versitility and room to stow golf clubs, carry bikes, tow stuff, get off road, give me comfort and style and fit in with a less town and more country lifestyle.......tried the BMW, Toyota, Volvo and others and they just don't compare. It's the best in it's class and of course it's British.

Used the Z4 forum site for a couple of years and found it helpfull, trust that this turns out to be the same.

Still only got 20 miles on the clock, but hope to cure that this weekend.

Good driving guys.

Stuart

Welcome Stuart - congrats on the new baby! Cool

Giverny is quite a rare colour so it seems, I have one of those black ones which suits me, but I know what you mean Smile How's about taking some pics and uploading them to your gallery so we can see it in all its glory?

Instructions for that are here: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30

Enjoy!

Nice one Stuart, did you by any chance buy it from Stratstone in Nottingham? If so, who did you deal with?

They were my supplying dealer, if you need to know anything about them, I have the news on everyone from the cleaner to the Dealer Principal!

Thats put me off getting a white one esp. when he says ".........In this shade, the car was reduced from an awesome, multipurpose vehicle to nothing more than a posey accessory for the super rich and super naff. If Ali G was a car, this would be it."

But nonetheless, he does go onto say " but if you manage to park your social, ethical, environmental and class issues to one side, then you'll find that the beautifully made, muscular and compact Sport is one of the most sophisticated, luxurious and competent cars you will ever drive. It's British built in the manner of the great marques of the past and it's fitted with the very best of everything - from seats to safety features". Very Happy ...Oh yes Wink
