Only just found this site. I wonder if anybody can tell us what might be wrong with our Sport or if anybody has had the same problem as us.
We have a 2007 model with the brembo brakes. When we turn the wheel whilst driving from left to right there is a knocking noise coming from the front, and also when we go over speed bumps etc it knocks. Has anybody else had this problem. We have taken it to Land Rover who took me out in another Sport and it made the same noise. Ours seems worse though. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks.

Thanks for all your responses. We know its a known problem now. We've got a bloke from Land Rover coming out to see us soon as we live in Solihull where they are made, so we'll let you know how we get on. (Or what they try and fob us off with!)

Yup, I have the same thing.

But don't hold your breath
There is an issue with some of the 07 models that still knock with a new anti-roll-bar, new bushes, brackets the lot, and mine is one of them.
Drive on smooth tarmac at around 20-25mph and snatch the steering wheel real hard one way and then the other
As the weight trasnsfers the knock can be heard loud. This is not the knock that is mentioned in the roll bar mod.
At the moment their are some modified parts being made but they are not available until next month.
Lets hope they work.  You don't stop playing because you get old, You get old because you stop playing.

Oh dear, another one.... so Biggy, what colour would you like your FFRR in?  

I'm beginning to be quite pleased that I didn't chop the SE in for a 2007 HSE now...................... just too many problems with the HSE, dare I say that there are many fancy toys to go wrong on them.
PTI/BT problems, knocking from Dynamic Response, no nav on the move, wing mirrors that won't reset when you come out of reverse ...................... you have to pay a lot extra to get all of those problems with an SE  A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.
