Dead Battery Problem

Guys,

I am going back home soon on a short vacation. I have a 2004 Citroen C3 parked in the garage.
(The Wife's car Smile) It's been sitting idle for the past 6 months now. I did disconnect the -ve battery pole before leaving for Qatar. I strongly think the battery maybe dead or dying.

Any ideas on how best to resurect it. I sure hate to pay a large sum of money on a new battery
that I only plan to use for 2 weeks a year.

Note: I also have a 1992 lifted Pathfinder (with a brand new battery) that I only use offroad.
However, I forgot to disconnect the poles on that one as I left the country in a hurry.

Any ideas?? I sure appreciate it.

Have you tried re-charging the battery ? Or reconnect it, bump start the car, then drive her around the block a few times to charge the battery using the car's alternator. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Doesn't Citroen have their own equivalent of LR Assist who would come out and start it. It's usually the alarm immobiliser that flattens the battery these days. I am periodically running a friend's Focus to keep the battery topped up as it goes flat in 3 weeks if not given a run.
Bump starting isn't really an option these days Smarticus as there are too many things like catalysts and immobilisers that can be damaged with a tow start. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

This is a problem that I'll need to fix in 2 weeks once I get back to Beirut.

1) My guess is that staying idle in my garage for like 6 months must mean a dead battery right?

2) Or you think there is a chance o revive it by Bump/Jump starting it?

If it isn't completely dead then you can use a rapid charge charger to zap up the charge (I did this recently when my 90's battery was drained by an electrical fault on the driving lights, but the battery wasn't fully discharged).
Does your garage have any windows in it? I ask because here in the UK you can buy a solar powered trickle charger that you can plug into the cigarette lighter and it will keep a car battery topped up if you don't use it for prolonged periods. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Trickle chargers from www.international-tool.co.uk; www.hamiltonclassic.co.uk; www.ctek.com www.toolconnection.co.uk; www.airflow-uk.com
www.carparts-direct.co.uk do a great job if you have access to mains power.

I use the Airflow battery conditioner on my summer droptop but that won't recharge a dead battery. Driving - TDV8 HSE in Stornaway / Ebony / Brunel
