Guernsey 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Rimini Red
Robbi - SE TDV6 Rimini Red

Well, after 6 months wait D-Day arrived today!

I am pleased with my colour choice.

Love the way it drives.

Probelms so far!....Well not too impressed with some flaws in the paint work. See my separate post on that!

And...the tail gate drove me a bit mad tonight. Even though it seemed to be locked the horn would sound when trying to lock it. Took a while to work out way and shut the tailgate a few times and fixed it.

Also the doors are now auto locking even though it was set not to....some checking to do tomorrow.

Fingers crossed no more gremlins.

See pics in my gallery.

Cheers

Sounds good Robbi,
My boss picked up a TDV6 Rimini Red HSE on Thursday just gone. She seems impressed so far.

Ps,
Some lovely scenery to go with a lovely car. Very Happy Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

Nice! By the way is VAT charged on cars over there? Sorry to appear stupid but I don't know the ins and outs of the tax system in the CIs. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

At the moment C.I. don't have VAT or any other tax on cars, apart from normal yearly road tax (£320 a year..which is shocking. All down to weight and adding an extra £100 since its a diesel!).

My car cost £895 for delivery, which I believe is more than mainland but can't really complain.

If you keep the car for 6 months in C.I. you can then take and sell it in the UK without incurring any import charges....I believe, but would need to check.

This may all change in the future since both Guernsey & Jersey have big holes in their budgets due to changes in the taxing of the offshore business, to remain competitive....we are finally coming into the real world!!

So cars are an easy target especially for the anti-car/4x4 brigade. Rob

I can see a nice little earner if you can sell in the mainland after 6 months! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
